Sighting In on A Win

CORTLANDT MANOR - Tech. Sgt. Christopher Ashley, a member of the 174th Fighter Wing sites in a target during the 30th Annual Adjutant General's Match at Camp Smith Training Site here, April 24, 25 and 26.

Ashley took top honors in the weekend event.

More than 125 members of New York?s military forces and several neighboring states gathered at Camp Smith Training Site for the shooting match.
Individuals and teams from the New York Army and Air National Guard, United States Marine Corps Reserve, US Army Reserve, New York Guard as well as National Guard teams from Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont competed in a variety of M16 Rifle and M9 Pistol shooting matches.

Ashley competed in the Pro/Expert Class finished First Place Grand Aggregate Rifle Champion, First Place Close Quarter Combat, First Place Grand Aggregate Pistol Champion and Third Place Reflexive Fire.

The 174th Fighter Wing also took the top team award for the fourth straight year finishing First Place Combined Arms Team, First Place Rifle Team and Second Place Pistol Team.
